About.
Alexi Sanchez is a Chicago based lyricist, composer, and performer. Her singing career started at the age of 2 on her parents' coffee table, and she wrote her first song for the 4th grade talent show because she wanted to do something more original than everyone else. And thus a dream was born.
Alexi studied Theater with a self developed concentration in Music Theater Writing at Northwestern University (grad. 2012). During her time at Northwestern, she was a proud member and music director of Extreme Measures a cappella and a head writer for the Waa-Mu show, She also wrote and performed in her own song cycle, "You Know That Feeling", at the age of 22.
But she didn't stop there! After graduating college, Alexi embarked on writing the music and lyrics to her first full length musical, "The Guide to Being Single" (book by Kaitlin Gilgenbach). "The Guide" had its world premiere in Chicago in 2014 and has since been produced as part of the NYMF reading series, in various parts of the UK, and as part of Milikin University's student season. Songs from "The Guide" have also been featured in concerts in both Chicago and LA.

Alexi is currently writing new shows on her own and is excited about her future in the musical theater industry. She is enjoying the process of developing her voice and the value she wants to bring to the world through this medium. The best is yet to come!
